Nicki rook

Over 20 years ago I started coaching sport to kids and soon moved on to fitness.  I worked in a few gyms, giving me the opportunity to train many different types of people, expanding my knowledge and skills.  I met Nikki in 2006 and we shared a passion for health and fitness that we wanted to share.  NicFit was born and with a dream to open a gym of our own we worked hard to build our group sessions and committed our time to motivate others to be more active and have fun doing it.  In 2012 we opened our first gym which is still going strong!  

My passion is to intruduce people to fitness and a healthy lifestyle, no matter what age and keep people motivated throughout their journey.

nikki palmer

Owner and personal trainer

I grew up with a love of sport, particularly football and soon started to enjoy fitness within a gym and group environment.  I focused my energy on motivating others and developing my own skills.  When Nicki and I opened our own gym we had the opportunity to train many different people, kids, young adults and older adults.  

My focus is now on Kids training and a mix age range of adults with a high energy approach.  You will always leave my sessions feeling energised and with a smile on your face.   

Jo Parker

Sports therapist

Jo started working for NicFit in 2018 as our Sports Therapist and her business has grown from strength to strength.  She is also a PE teacher at a high school and shares our passion for fitness.  She started training with us a few years before, regularly taking part in our group sessions and even won a fitness challenge we led in 2017.  Her commitment to her own fitness is an inspiration to everyone we train.  She is always eager to help people with injuries and rehabilitation, offering advice to prevent, diagnose and treat injuries.  She also leads many of our group sessions, specialising in HIIT and Mobility.

sean evans

Personal trainer

Sean started working for NicFit over 10 years ago and trained with us for many years before that.  He worked along side his position as a fire fighter with a desire to help others.  He has always been committed to his own fitness and often pushes himself to be the best.  He has supported a team to complete the three peaks challenge which he has done on more than one occasion and regularly sets himself other high adrenaline challenges.  Sean specialises in Calisthenics which he puts in to practice with his own training.  He runs our Kids sessions and regular adults Calisthenics sessions along side his 1:1 PT.
